About the Case:
On May 19, 1990, an explosion occurred at a single wide manufactured mobile home, when the victim, Charlie Matney, of Jolo, WV, entered into the home. The location of the explosion was in the area of Gullion Fork Road in Wythe County. Lab analysis and an examination of the scene have confirmed the cause of the explosion to be an explosive device, consisting of liquid dynamite and various other items. According to the autopsy, the medical examiner believes Mr. Matney picked the device up when it exploded.
